Innovative questionnaire programming

Quality assurance does not just start in the survey phase with online panels, but also during programming. After all, a pleasant user experience when answering online questionnaires is the basic prerequisite for motivated and involved participants and therefore for good data quality.

Innovative design and handling of the online questionnaire (see image on the right) are essential, especially in times of increased mobile participation via various end devices. The INTERACTIVE SURVEY GALLERY therefore enables an optimal user experience for online surveys.

Thanks to a flexible modular system, it is possible to choose from a variety of display formats – always suitable for mobile devices – in a preview. Customers can see examples of questions that have already been implemented in advance, which INNOFACT programming then implements later in the project.

The “Innoscript 4” software is an in-house development and, despite its high speed, always offers individual customization options thanks to standardization.

AI-supported quality check

SURVEY+ is characterized by its unique quality check during fieldwork. A machine learning model automatically calculates a DATA QUALITY SCORE for each respondent and thus objectively and efficiently assesses the quality of the data collected. This innovative approach combines traditional checking mechanisms – such as time measurement, response quality analysis and honeypots – with state-of-the-art AI technologies. SURVEY+ analyses user behaviour when completing the questionnaire using the resulting paradata and uses AI to detect suspicious response patterns and conspicuous behavior. The system compares this paradata with known patterns and can thus draw conclusions as to whether it is a real respondent or, for example, a click farm or a bot.

Thanks to a multi-stage penalty concept, SURVEY+ recognizes potential quality problems at an early stage and provides predictions about the quality of the data throughout the entire survey. Data records are cleansed in real time and fraud attempts are effectively warded off. This process enables immediate assessment of data quality and precise control of online panels. Bad data or test subjects are recognized and reported immediately so that they are not included in the planned quotas. Checked “good” data flows directly into the model optimization, whereby the system constantly improves itself.

Real-time dashboard for immediate insights

The dashboard integrated in SURVEY+ delivers validated results during the field phase. It offers extensive analysis options such as filtering, comparison groups and automatic coding. It is particularly important to emphasize that the AI-supported quality check in the field phase ensures that only verified data is included in the live evaluation.
